About Imran Josephi

Three Decades of Financial Leadership

With over 30 years of hands-on executive finance experience spanning nonprofits, public accounting firms, oil & gas, higher education, and government, Imran Josephi pairs a public accounting technical foundation with the hands-on operating experience of running finance departments.

A licensed CPA since 2009 and AICPA member since 2015, Imran has served as CFO, Director of Finance, and Audit Manager for organizations managing portfolios from $20M to $200M. He has owned the month-end close, built annual operating plans, run 13-week cash flow forecasts, and managed the external audit from inside the company. Operating his independent practice, Josephi CPA, since 2014, he has provided ongoing fractional CFO services to nonprofit and private business clients, turning one long-term client that ran consistent annual deficits into one that now reports consistent annual surpluses, through improved budgeting, disciplined financial reporting, and the implementation of modern accounting systems.

Roughly a quarter of the role was advisory work for non-audit clients: acquisition accounting, intercompany eliminations, IFRS conversions, and technical accounting research. Led M&A and intercompany accounting for a large oil and gas supplier with five to six entities to consolidate.
